Best churches to visit in London

London’s two great churches are both royal: Westminster Abbey, the coronation church and burial place of monarchs, and St Paul’s Cathedral, Wren’s masterpiece with galleries in its dome. Westminster Cathedral, the Catholic mother church, has a bell tower with a lift, and the City of London has dozens of Wren churches, among them St Bride’s, St Mary-le-Bow and the Temple Church of the Knights Templar.
