Which one to choose in Evora
Evora Cathedral vs Chapel of Bones
Two churches in Evora. Evora Cathedral has 1 ticket or tour to book; Chapel of Bones has 7 tickets and tours to book. The table and the two notes below put them side by side; the full pages have what to see, the ticket and the timing for each.
Evora, Portugal
The ticket comes in tiers and the choice matters. The cheapest covers the church only. The next adds the cloister and the sacred art museum, with its collection of vestments and a famous ivory Virgin whose body opens into a triptych. The full ticket adds the roof terraces, reached by a stone staircase, where you walk on the leads between the two towers with the whole walled town below; that is the one to buy. Audio guides are included in some versions.

Evora, Portugal
The chapel is entered through the Church of St Francis in Evora and charges a small combined ticket that also covers the church's upper gallery, the sacred art museum and a terrace with a view over the town; it is inexpensive and there is no cheaper partial option. A further small fee applies to photography, and the rule is enforced at the door. Queues form at midday when the Lisbon coaches arrive and are short otherwise.
