One ticket covers the church, the Hohenzollern crypt and the dome walk, and there is no cheaper version worth buying, since the dome is the main reason most people pay. Booking online saves a queue on Museum Island in summer. The dome climb is 270 steps to an external gallery at 50 metres with a circle of central Berlin: the Lustgarten below, the television tower opposite and the Spree on two sides. Audio guides are included in some ticket versions.

Entry to both the ruined tower with its memorial hall and the modern church beside it is free, with a donation box. Concerts of classical music are staged in the new church through the year and ticketed separately; the blue glass and the acoustics make it a striking venue. There is a small exhibition in the old tower showing the church before 1943 and the mosaics that survive in the entrance hall.
